Hi bro, that is very worrisome. But 宁德 covers a large area, mostly small towns n rural villages, where residents speak Fuzhou n several other dialects.

The PRC student I'm going to bao is from 宁德富鼎市 near the east coast. She speaks a dialect I hv never heard of. She repeatedly rebuffed my pursue for ST/LT for many months but finally agreed to be my 情妇 on my return. Since then she has been wonderful n has not been mercenary...at least not yet cos I'm still overseas. She tells me her income is down from KTVs n the cost of living in SGP very high, but declines my offer to send her money. Perhaps she is a rare exception or perhaps she is trying to KC me for a much bigger meal ticket.:eek: Only time will tell. She is my type of ger n I like her very much.
