few days ago went to this newly opened hang flower joint in Telok Ayer St, SONG KTV.

the gals young, n some really chio bu. very gf feeling i must say. maybe i too long never "pat tor" liao, so feel really loved n wanted when talking to the gals.

i m planning to go this friday again. hehe...,

hi bro

there r 2 karaoke rooms, one big (15-20 pax), one small (8-10pax).

damage vary, depends on how much u wanna hang flowers for the gals. minimum is 50. liqour is 218 per bottle for chivas n martell.

i think the damage is quite average comparing to other places.
but this is new joint, so the gals r also new n should be easier to "make frens"

I tried reading the posts from page 136(earliest) to 1(latest).

Some useful information here about the KTVs, their location, etc...

And insights into the KTV operators' tactics to make patrons/consumers spend money.

Some (quite) ugly recriminations and personal spats (usually directly/indirectly about money spent at outings to these joints as a group). Don't understand why the penchant to quarrel in public and on permanent record for whole world to see.

A lot of fun reading
a. the hilarious posts by a forum member who thinks youth and looks are his weapons in winning over these hardened, smooth talking KTV ladies.
b. the other forum members' comments on his views.

One of the most comical parts is the part where she tells him to keep the flower/banner/sash receipts...and he may have mis-interpreted that she intends to refund him in full based on those receipts.

These KTVs provide different services/things to different categories of people.

My view is that they are not in the liquor/alcohol business.
Not even in the entertainment business. I think they are in the business of selling "attention" to the people who need it. It is a stroking of egos.

The big fishes who throw money may do so for a variety of reasons. We can only guess why. (have seen $100,000 banners/flowers showered on an ordinary looking girl who cannot sing to save her life, in one evening)

This thread is about HFJ. With singers.

A quick check with the Internet or your receipts from these HFJ places or the name cards the HFJs hand to you will indicate that they usually describe themselves as KTVs.

HFJ as compared to family oriented KTVs where you entertain yourselves with self-singing in the KTV room. (no GROs & no singers)

Or HFJ as compared to the more adventurous type of KTVs where there are GROs and no singers. Where you entertain yourselves with self-singing in the KTV room and the GROs entertain you with whatever services.

Oh, I forgot to mention that some establishments, if their set-up is large enough, have a mix of singers and GROs.

e.g. Dynastic Classic or Mirage (Sen Hua).

Of course Dynasty's and Mirage's GROs seem more classy in looks and behavior than the rougher types at, for example BS (fully GROs - no singers).

Indeed, going by the number of rooms at Mirage, their main income stream may be from the rooms (they have got presentable rooms) and the singing stage with modest audience sofa seating being just a side show.

Cleopatra seems to concentrate on Mandarin singers in open hall, as their rooms in the second storey look run down and dumpy. Mainly the GROs servicing the Cleopatra second storey are Malay/Indian ladies.

Forum members have already observed that although dumpy, Cleopatra has a few groups of big patrons. Whose spending is probably propping up the whole business. This is what I observed too.

Got introduced to a singer by friend from Good Luck joint (at Parklane 4th Floor), build quite good relations with her, wanna hook & b**k her. Then ask me go support her buy a bottle because every week they have to get a customer come to open a bottle to meet quota per week.

Any feedback from bros on this place ? I am not really into hang flower, but for the sake wanna sian the singer...

i thought singer only need to meet their company quota around 6-8k per month...now the singer need to be like mummy to get in customer to open liquor for them...

been there once around 3 yr back after the company dinner where opposite parklane mall...place a bit old but just wonder why mummy get us a super VIP room just 3 of us....

the end we just found out that this joint only got two gals (sporean) somemore they are true sister...

we spent just around 45min and just brought out the bottle....nvr go back there again,,,

Bro, dun waste ur time n money la, the fact is tat before anything started, she already opened her mouth for your "support" due to her quota, ur wallet will burn dry long before u can even sian her or even get to bonk her.

all these girls' KC games and their sad stories and many Bros lagi even more sad stories after their ROI (Return on Investment) is totally not worth it.

sianing the girl take place outside of her workplace, as long as your are at her workplace, you will always be considered as her customers.

btw...i heard Singers getting comm from bottles and even much more comm if hit certain target set but even if no bottles sold, they still get their basic salary from singing still..dun be suckered into her trap to open bottle every week/month for her to hit her quota in a hope to sian her :rolleyes:

unless ur in it for relaxation and company only with lots of money to spare, if ur jus tryin to sian n bonk, as the place name says it all..."Good Luck" :p
