I really do not understand why should you need such a work to make your "secret" safe box. :confused:
If I am not wrong, that bathroom is in Formosa. You can safely keep all your valuables (passport, extra cash, whatever) in the safe box at the reception. NOBODY will never steal you anything from there!
You still need to have handy some cash for current daily expenses (no more than few millions rupiah, most commonly), but you can keep that in your wallet, that is 1 place under your eyes.
If you are afraid your girl leaves you in the middle of the night while you sleep (*) taking your wallet, you can close it in your luggage (it is unlikely a girl will be allowed by security to leave Formosa during the night with a big suitcase..

PS: I hope you did not excavate a bigger hole in the bathroom to hide also your laptop and photocamera.:D


(*) I thought it was impossible a girl could slip out of my bed while I sleep, dress up, open the door, leave and close the door, without me recognizing it, but it happened! :eek:
A couple of years ago, a girl left me that way in the early morning, leaving only a brief "thank you" message written with eye pencil on a small piece of paper. I still keep it! What a nice memory. :rolleyes:

Have a friend who came back from a KTV in Chang Ping, got served coffee with his "friend of the night" while he checked his computer, and then only remembering waking up to find his wallet, ring, computer, phone etc all gone!

That is one reason I ask brothers to go to fish farms. Any issue can go find OKT. FL is better not taken by newbies.

Also go for hotels with safes. Or keep at counter.

That is the general rule. Another rule of thumb is the RUBBER. You never know who has STDs.

Yes - it is GENERALLY safer to go through OKT's but there are always exceptions.

My friend had gone to the Peninsula KTV - a pretty solid/OK establishment in CP, and got his girl via a mommie he had satisfactorily used for a long period of time. So of course when it happened he called the Mommie/The Pen and that was when the mommie said that she herself could not find the girl as she had only started work on a temporary pass.

To their credit though, after reviewing the Miraton hotel CCTV that indeed the thief had left my friend's room with a large bag, they agreed to give him RMB 8,000 Peninsula KTV credit as partial compensation etc. Better than nothing - even though my friend lost approximately 12K. And yes, he did keep lots more cash and his travel documents etc in the safe but what he lost he had out and I think most guys will also keep these general items out... phone, computer, watch and ring he was wearing and wallet with some cash etc.

No, because she was a sweet girl. Met in NoName, I met her also on my next visit months later.
About being robbered at night, the only thing I really care is my laptop. And there is no safebox or hole in the wall where I could safekeep it...
The only defense is selecting my company, crossing fingers, and sleep holding her tight ;)
