The local Chinese are very barbaric and rude.

Some are here in SG and do not let those priority seats to those needed in the MRT train

Land in SZ and take ferry to ZH. :)

Problem for ferry to/fo HKIA and ZH. There's only 4 timing per day. Unless u go HK mainland to take. So planning of flight arriving HKIA is very important.

if miss the timing....wait until siao.

i remember some Bro say this transit skypier service not applicable to budget flights like Scoot, Tiger.

another option at hkia is take mainland coach service to zhuhai.

They do have their gracious times.
I had spotted a few of them give up their seat for an old man. Very spontaneous. But the train was like not crowded.

Another bizarre sighting was when taking the crowded bus, those commuters who boarded the bus thru the exit door automatically pass the card and fare to the front so the front passengers can help to tap or deposit the fare.

But many other times, when walking along the streets, I was assailed by a barrage of vehicles....motorbikes, bicycles, trolleys, tricycles,....etc. from all directions.

Anyway I dun find Singaporean or Malaysian youngsters in SG any better...

Saw some that even take up 3 seat, casue their bags needed a seat. Rarely see any give up seats for needly as well.

Some younger adult in their 20s to early 30s also guilty of taking up seats.

Nowadays ppl are all too selfish lah. Only think of themselves.

it's stated like 3.5 hrs...but in reality check...it is more than that.

it is the last option...and the only one if there is a typhoon.

100% agree.

Seems this selfishness is spreading all over the world not only in China. Saw this attitude back in US and Europe too ... sigh.

It's true GZ subway is tough at rush hour, but not really worst than in any big city (Paris for exemple). And it's so convenient and cheap to join Baiyun airport from that line. (vs taxi):D

One exception : the subway in Tokyo, even in rush hour ppl are much less rude.

I see that they now behave much better in hongkong after some of our citizens figured that enough was enough and started actual campaigns etc against them. No more Mr. Nice-guy and grinning and bearing it.

Not only do these people do start to pay heed, the Prc government actually even started handing out pamphlets on how to behave in foreign countries and to try to sort of educate them etc.

The problem arises/continues when the local populace of any country so welcome their tourist spending that they bend over backward and tolerate their boorishness.

Nation of nouveau-riche!

Just IMHO

Can always go via the Heng Qin border :) Going via HKIA a good idea if you're using standard airlines, budget airline cannot return via ferry to skypier

yup....I was on a early flight reach HKIA at 5.30am in the morning....
thinking there wont be any one at the custom Q in the wee hours....should be a breeze.
i was speechless when i reach the counters.
there are easily 300-400 passengers stuck at the Q.
and the counters are only 1/4 open.
this was the time i was utterly disappointed in HKIA. All along I think their efficiency is top notch.
i only got out 1 hour later......this was after a senior chap intervenes and divert some of the crowds to some other counters in the other corners.

LOL - back to APEC card!

Have no fear, the e-channel registration at the HKIA is quite efficient. Singaporeans who has visited Hong Kong 3 times past year can apply -

You can also use this facility at luohu.

Yes, Hong Kong immigration services have past few years deteriorated badly, coinciding with the huge influx of mainland visitors.

Personnel are taxed to the maximum, staff recruitment hard as working conditions there are quite horrendous, and yet the number of visitors to Hong Kong continues to rise.

Best to avoid going through Hong Kong especially if just transiting to Prc; everything associated with this - not only immigration - is taxed to the maximum.

oh well....i just can't keep HKIA out of my trips, especially those going to GuangDong area.
it is just so common...so family orientated..when you tell your friends/colleagues you are going to HK....but in actual fact...you are going somewhere else.
just buy some Wing Wah cookies and stuffs when returning at HKIA....job done.
airfares are cheap.

although i had touched down HKIA numerous times, i hardly ever step foot in the HK central streets nor any of the HK hotels. :p

Next time i will consider the echannel....a must have.

I guess you are referring to western media who are just propaganda tools, so no surprising they need to point out China / Russia / South American countries as bad guys and present themself (US & their allies) as good guys. :D Don't expect them accusing US for spreading wars and shit all over the world haha

Concernng the "looking down on other" attitude i think it's common for most people who come from wealthier country (we are richer, we have education, we have democracy ...).
Of course those SG, HK, JP, Taiwanese etc are not any better than them (the "rude" mainland chinese), they are just lucky to be born in better environment.

Anyway, looking down or not, i just noticed they are very happy and willing to bonk PRC wg LOL :p

I still think gongbei custom is worst...

Now the foreign lane, they have also open to PRC to use also... Damn knn.. And during peak hour on holiday or weekend, be prepare to queue for an hour.

Just when u think nightmare over right... Wait till u reach Macau side. Pack with ppl at least 30 ppl at all lane... Over here they dun have foreign lane. Well done. Just squeeze with those PRC Loh. Lucky thing is now they dun need to fill in immigration form liao. The process much faster. Normally can clear in half hour time.

Just 3 years back, I have stuck at macau custom for one hour plus Loh..

Get stuck at two custom, that's true nightmare...

Just like our very own JB-woodland custom. Haha

All along HKIA has no efficiency.
All foreigners and PRCs are lumped under one long lane.
PRCs should have their own lane.

My recent experience on a Saturday around 11am is pretty smooth.
Macau side is very fast even though PRCs and foreigners are in the same lane.
Only the China immigration side took longer even though it's a foreigner exclusive lane.
Immigration officer really scrutinse the passports of certain nationalities. That's why the hold up.

Macau/Gongbei border is all about timing.
You've to avoid the peak hours.

I find crossing Luohu and Futian borders in Shenzhen at all timings is even more time consuming than Macau/Gongbei border.
Need to have e-Channel clearance at Hong Kong immigration side to cut down time wastage! :(

Bro,
In Macau you cannot use APEC card, only can use in China and Hong Kong. But with the unfolding events in Hong Kong, one would think hard about going to China via Hong Kong let alone going to Hong Kong ( Occupy Central in HK) and Iphone 6 cracking down in China .... presume longer queue at China side. Only way is to fly direct to China via Shenzhen or Guangzhou.
