I guess every man has his idea of fun. For me, I go to hfj to watch the performance (singing and dancing), and I even laughed along with the stage managers doing their rounds of dirty jokes on stage. I treat the hanging of flowers as tips for the singers and do not think of going any further.

I suppose if we have such an attitude towards hfj, then such issues become moot?

HFJ random visit: 南天 Stey Club
 

One of those night after leaving office but just don't feel like going home. Drove aimlessly.....passed through River Valley road.....thought I'll go up Stey Club for a drink. Last visited the joint a year ago..... was pretty impressed with the pretty singers THEN

Took a seat at the back of the hall, ordered my beer..... no less than a minute...2 singers came over. One was too old and other was too fat.....sianz. Well I'm sure it was obvious to both of them that I was not interested.....but die die wanna sit around. Told them to bugger off...not happpy give me dirty look. signzzzz

Even the waiter were annoying... stood infront of me chatting and blocking my view. Signzz.... less than half an hour in the joint, I have to tell singers and waiters to fark off from my sight.... what the hell's wrong with this joint.

Then came the PPC..... no big flowers but the way they do it was such a turn off. When PPC is coming to an end, most decent hfj will get the singers with flower to come to the front and singer with no flower will move to the back. Well crappy stey club does the other way round.... those with flower move to the back, push singers with no flowers to the front.....drag the music on and on..... MC keep bugging customers to hang flowers for those with nothing.... it's literally begging..... NO CLASS!!!!

Couldn't stay any longer.... left without finishing my beer.

Very much agree....... hfj is good when you are cheonging alone. You know... times when u wanna have a drink and your buddies are not free. Going to KTV alone is ridiculous......singing to myself alone in the room. At hfj.... you get entertained instead....which is nice.

I also have to agree that it's pointless to spend money to "win a singer's heart"...... I've made that mistake before and therefore will not repeat it again. If I were to spend big money on any singer.... it's not to win her heart........ it's a win win transaction for both of us. I get the temporal gfe and sex..... she gets money. It's doesn't matter whether it's real or not.... as long we're both happy and I can afford it without pain..... spare me the pretence!!!!

But when singers wanna play that hard to get (吊起来买) or Kum Cheng (如果你真的爱我) game.... I'll move on.... don't want to put in that effort because they are not worth it. Some guys say they only screw WL with brains/intellect..... I thought that was funny....if he really thinks that he just bonked a prized brainy WL... then I really question how much dark matter he's got between his ears.

Anyway..... not feeling rich these days...... not within my means to spend big money on Singers.....perhaps some loose change for light enertainment and who knows......some surprise fuck :D

Have been playing in the night joints for more than 10yrs....... one tends to get numb..... and besides.... quality in sgp is getting from bad to worst

Agree with U Bro ...Go there enjoy the singers company la ...PPC C which singer no flower and just hang them 100 to them and after that all will come to sit with u drink / talk ..This kind feeling Very Very siok la .. No point fight with ppl on the Fav singer la ..

Unless u want to go 9x9 with them la , than u will need to spend more $ and effort la ..

Me go there drink and enjoy their company only la ......

I'm not into 可怜花, it's demeaning for the singers. But if there's a good looker with no flowers.......hmmm could be a under valued stock!!! gotta do the Warren Buffet thingy. Anyway... singers with no flowers after ppc are usually the butt ugly and bad attitude ones. If there are good looking ones... it's just happend that their regular sugar daddies were not free that night... huh huh.

Even when I hang for Ang Pai....... I don't do it because I wanna FIGHT for her.... I don't have the means nor interest. Not all Ang Pais are obscenely materialistic..... some will still show their appreciation, chat, drink, dinner with you. Just treat them with basic respect (just basic, I don't mean sucking up to them).....many are still be very plesant, but don't expect a cheapo fuck lah. Singers with their noses stucked up in the air....... just move on lor....

Now no money go small joints lor.......huh huh

To me CJ is a "wannabe" trying hard to transform themselves into a BIG joint but just lacking the substance and quality, Singers and service. You can sense the difference when you have experienced the better joints like DC, HC, XZ

Not blaming anybody....... nothing wrong with trying..... but just gotta do it right. Chicken and egg thing...... if the place ain't right, big spenders unlikely will stay.

I do observe that Macau and Zara (same boss) pickling up nicely. High rollers and flowers quite substantial. Having say that...... these 2 joints have pretty poor setups. Macau has the most ridiculous circular stage and Zara sound system is hopeless. So you are 101% right.... it's not the place but the people working there that makes the place.

Well, even here in Shanghai, depending on where and when you go, the "quality" ranges from ugly to pretty, from "cannot sing" (one wonders about the QC) to those with good voices (yes, I am there to listen to them sing too).

Let me know if you do pop by Shanghai one of these days. We can go for a drink together at the hfj I frequent.

Everytime I post in this thread, I get zapped. That's fine. Who gives a shit about points? What's sad is that some of these cyber-heroes are senior Samsters who should know better. Unfortunately, many of them have let the "power" of zapping go to their heads. Using the anonymity of the Internet, they use the Rep system to make stupid remarks in your CP that you can't even reply to because you don't know who made those remarks.

Nowadays I don't care who has registered longer in the forum or who has more points. Simply because many of these seniors with a super amount of points are the very same immature losers who create clones to zap people anonymously.

Is someone more trustworthy or do his words carry more weight simply because he has more points or more power? Think about it.
