Bro, don't get anything duty free from SG. Not that the Customs here don't allow it, in fact they hardly ever check, but anything you buy from DFS, its probably half the price or less here in PP, from any reputable retail shops here, non-duty free.

Just a few examples - Marlboro costs USD11 here, a 1L bottle of JW Black about USD25-28. I smoke Winston Light, USD5.30 a carton, retail. My fav whiskey (spelled with a 'e' because it's Irish), USD 15 but it was USD 11.50 beginning of the year before the tax crackdown. There are of course some fakes, you might have notice I mention reputable. Anyway, you get the idea.

Just left... now in BKK... miss PP slow life and chaotic traffic. I miss most is cheap entertainment. :D Once in awhile I will go back to PP to look look see see.

Bros going to Phnom Penh must be very careful of snatch thief. Dun think u take taxi, tutu, walking or with a group of guys is safe, once u kena aim. Good luck to u. In short, dun show off ur money, gold, bags/sling bags etc. Their snatch thief dam pro, snatch until even u r not aware of it. Happy and safe cheonging!!

Beer (Angkor) is cheap at 50c per glass, 2 USD for 1 jug or 3USD/ 2 jugs. A small bottle of beer is about 1 USD. Stout is 3 USD for a small bottle.
Central Market, Russian Market, Killing Fields, Royal Palace, Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, Angkor Wat, Floating Village on Lake Tonle Sap and also a 1 day trip to Sihanoukville for a seafood lunch.
cheap imitation branded goods in the Russian Market; they are even cheaper than those available in HCM.
Good lunch near the Central Market, 6 USD per head.

Basically most of the pubs are in square of Monivong, Sihanouk, River front and 104th Street, but most of top class KTVs are along/near Mao Tse Tung and Rock north of it along Monivong.
Avoid Billabong and Franjipani Fine Arts Hotel. Those places do not like late night visitors.

Oasis was a clear winner at 136 and Air Force bar at 104 for me. Lady Drinks USD3. Bar fine is USD10.
Streets 136 and 104. I prefer 104 which has less customers and the girls are more friendly. 104th street is nice. 136th is more like tourist trap. Local expats do not go there often.

many eateries and restaurants range from 1$ to 50$ per meal, then hit the bar streets (136, 110, etc etc) and patrol the bars to load up on brown sugars. all within walking distance, streets many people at night safe to walk up to 12am or 1am, no need tuk tuks
FLs can be found on the roundabout (11.576055, 104.923152) and surrounding roads including the riverside park nearby. FLs are found singly or in groups with minders. Most of them are not conversant with English
