It's the same here too. HFJs open about 2000h but the singing only starts about 2200h.

Look at their opening hours. They got it all wrong.

90% of the HFJ singers really cannot sing. And they know it too.

Well said bro. There is one hfj open at 6pm n singing starts at 7pm. Its a small joint with reasonable beer n liqur price. Not many big hangers. Mostly retirees n working class pple. Although sometime can c hang 500 or 1k but is very rare. Business seem to be quite gd. At least got more crowd than jade n other places. Cheers.

Bro saytoomuch may not be aware that HH has now a mass following and pseudo singers in HFJ either moonlight at popular KTV lounges in Havelock and
Peace Centre for their quick bucks before reporting for work by 830pm, Some of the more popular HH Lounges with HFJ joints have their "singers" (with permits) entertain their clients in KTV rooms anytime from HH to closing hours only reappearing for their short singing or PPC sessions. Cliemts can choose to hang flowers or tip them. Some singers dont even have to report for work daily as long as they pay a levy to the HFJ, something called MAI WEI (BUY PLACE). In this business a lot of creativeness and inventiveness with the think out of the box mentality is practiced. By allowing singers to have six months permits the HFJ is a far from sun-setting industry. The super rich, the bookies, the money laundering gangster will continue to pile their legal or ill gotten gains into those lucky and considered cream of the singers while the masses will continue to enjoy the not-so- creamy pseudo singers. A win-win situation for all.:D

The other day, i was driving along GL land to go for dinner, clarify, real food hor, not chicken, drove thru a lane and wakaozzzzzzz, HFJ extended from canvas tent to the road, power!!!!!!!

Apologies, may b a off topic. Saw Chinese Wanbao, it was reported a property agent(25yo) slash his singer gal(20 yo) and singer's bf(20yo). Becoz of this he was sentence to jail imprisonment.

It was reported that the guy after sending his singer gal home and later realise he left something with his singer gal and return back to her apartment. Then what he saw later made him boiled over. He saw his singer gal and her classmate talking and behaving intimately. He took out his cutter and slashed both of them causing them to be injured.

Dunno singer which HFJ leh? Oso, the property agent guy spend how much on her?

The kopitiam below Peace Ctr stack of 7 KTVs is closed.
Maybe because of poor business?
So if u are thinking of getting a bite first before venturing upstairs, have to go elsewhere.

The Thai live band joint on the 3rd sty is not well patronised. Not many customers even on weekend.
Maybe it is a location thing. In OT and GM, they do quite well.

Lately, Dynasty has surprisingly few customers on a weekend. Maybe the impact of the two casinos draw away the regulars or maybe regulars lost their pants in World Cup football wagers, so no money to splash for a while.

dun tink it's bad biz just change of mgt for the kopitiam...but yeah suckz if u wan to eat before cheonging...

as for poor business...it's the same everywhere...too many joints fighting for the same customers....but that's good for us...easier to up your targets....
