Hi Bro, I'm planning to goto HCM or Hanoi (my preference as the weather is better) next week? I dun speak a word of Vietnamese.

What's the best way for me to go around? Is there anyway I can pick up an English speaking Viet guide (with sex included) for a week on a modest budget?

Bro, one of the easiest way is to go to a local BAR on the first night of your stay in Vietnam. If you go to a bar patronised by foreigners, there's a high chance that the girl you get for the night will know some english. Take her phone number and make an appointment for the girl to bring you around the next day. Its that simple :D

If you come to HCM, a good place to try is CatWalk at New World Hotel. The price is higher but the probability of the girl speaking mandarin or english is high. As for Hanoi, try Fortuna Hotel's KTV, BOSS.

FR - Saigon Health Club at Bong Sen Hotel

Address: 117 - 123 Dong Khoi St. 6th Floor, Bong Sen Hotel (Walk to the back of the hotel, turn right and there's a lift there to take up to the MP). The hotel is very near Sheraton.

Was in HCM City recently and thanks to the FRs posted here, I ventured to Bong Sen Hotel. Price for 1hr massage is 132,000 dong (about S$14). I was ushered to the locker area by a locker uncle who speaks basic english. Took off everything and placed them in the locker before taking a shower. After the shower, thus uncle gave me a bath robe and then asked me to walk up the stairs to the massage rooms. I think there were about 10 rooms in total. Once upstairs, my masseuse took me to a room and began a very good massage. Everything was done professionally and massage was very good! After half hour, I was asked to turn over and she began massaging my left leg, followed by my right then my arms. After which, she lightly carressed me, and asked me if it was nice. And it was. All this while, my dick was covered by the towel. She then lifted the towel and lightly touched my dick alternated this with the touching of my chest and other parts of my body.

Then negotiations started. I was only willing to pay US$20 but she asked for US$30, and refused to back down. What a hard bargainer! All this while, she was touching me while refusing to back down. One more thing from my recce in HCM City. I was confused by some of the FRs here about New World Hotel's massage, the New World Entertainment complaex massage, and the International Tourist Club massage. After some recce-ing, I realised that the massage in the hotel (near the pool) is not what bros were refering to. And the New World Hotel Entertainment Complex and the International Tourist Club is actually the same place. It's part of the hotel (bros just need to walk straight after going out of hotel entrance).

Massage place is called Le Lei and I saw a sign outside saying that i hr massage costs 175,000dong (about S$18). There's also casino facilities here I think. I didn't end up going (I went to Bong Sen Hotel instead) and only had time to do one massage session. Maybe next time.

So bros who may be confused like me about New World, please take note.

I will be in HCMC on 10 Jan 05, and will be staying there indefinitely. I'll be there on a work assignment.

I am still not exactly sure on where I'll be posted to, but for the first 2 weeks, I'll be at Thanh Binh... thereafter, could be at either District 1, 5 6, 10 or Binh Thanh...

I'm seeking advice on where I can find accomodation (serviced apartments) that have internet access... that is my main criteria... and of course, should be decent enough for a live-in gf... However, I've a budget of US$600 only for accomodation.. is that realistic? Any recommendations?

Don't think you can get a serviced apartment for US$600. I was there mid-2004 and most of the ones I saw in Dist. 1 were $1000 up. Broadband access is another ~$100, don't know abt dial-up. Can you company's staff over there help?

The price for service apartments are all above US$750 a month. But i will advise you to get a rented house in District Thanh Binh. You should be able to get a decent one for around US$350 to US$400 a month, but it will be the whole house. If you are lucky enuff, u may be able to get a smaller house with 2 rooms at US$250 to US$300 a month.

As for ADSL connection, you can try FPT. Unlimited ADSL access is at 1.1 million VND a month (around $105 SGD).

Tan Binh and Binh Thanh are 2 different districts. I stay in Binh Thanh and Bro Lugi will be staying in Tan Binh. Just now i spelled `Tan Binh' as `Thanh Binh'. So maybe got u confused.

Hello to all fellow Singaporean in HCMC.....

I have been working here for the last couple of months.
Was reading through the threads posted here by you guys and find them very useful....thanks so much.

However, have not been really successful in getting any good chicks yet.
Have been to massage parlour at Ceasar (newly re-opened), Cat Walk, Gossip, and a couple other places. So far only doing recce, have not move in for any action yet.

My contribution as follows :

Cat Walk
Cater to tourist. Chicks are high-end quality...and of course u got to pay high-end prices. Asked one gal before. Bring back to hotel for one-hr is USD100-150, overnight can go up to USD200-300...steep!

Ceasar KTV
Chicks are okay. Tends to be cheaper. Bring gal back for one hr is VND 1 million (approx S$100 plus a bit) and overnight is USD100.

Gossip
Nice big and happening disco. Lots of chicks hangs around but most of them have regular clients (I assess). Quality good, not sure of price though.

Maybe we should organise a session together.....enjoy your stay in HCMC.

Glad to know that you have been in HCMC for the last few months. Hope that you have been enjoying the good and cheap Pho and other great vietnamese dishes.

From my experience here for the last 2 years, its better to pick up chicks from local Bars than those foreigners infested bars like CatWalk. You may need to know some local guys and ask them to bring you to local joints. My personal experience with local joints are that there will be a few gals who can speak English. Get to know these gals and get their phone number. If you are lucky , u may even end up with a gal back in your apartment on your first night there. Be pro active to call these gals the next day and ask them out for coffee before they go to work in the evening. Local guy friends always come in handy.

I used to frequent Bars like Paradise and Hollywood but these joints have closed down. Bars and discos open and close like no one's business here in HCMC. Now married, i don't party much anymore :(

My happenings all come from my encounters that i met some time back. Now these gals are still in contact with me and i bonk them in the afternoon sometimes, on the pretext of business appointments .. heheheh.

At first stay in a fark up hotel....was quoted 48USD.....rm like fark....facilities like fark...outside beautiful...photo show the rm beautiful....but go in nitemare...then change to guesthouse.

The Guest House I stay in is not bad....up to standard....bigger room than the above mentioned hotel, hotel 81, fragrance hotel....with one master bed and one single bed....from door to the end of the room think take about 15-20 steps.....

Bros may wish to go there...but please dont ask me how to go....becos I dont even know if i know my way back to my rm or not later....

Cost : 18 USD (Saw an angmo who staying alone, price was quote 15USD. think mine 18 becos my girl stay with me)
