There are many other fake notes in China. Just becareful and check the green colour 100 number which is in 2 different colour tone at different angle. Also the real notes are more rough on the Mao Zhetong colar part.

PS: China fake notes have 'water mark' too. Goodluck!

i wonder what can one do if fake 100rmb notes come out from a china atm machine .... :confused: :confused:

as i dun carry so much cash to china, i relied on china atm machine whenever i'm low in cash ...
it's quite disturbing .... :(

You'll need to check whenever you come across 100 china notes. And i mean check every RMB100 note. Even money changer there will give you fake ones if you're not careful.

One more trick i learned from PRC is to flip the note near your ear. You should hear a clear 'piak piak' sound. Fake note dont have this kinda paper quality. Its really disturbing if you gotten a fake note. Cant really do anything but only to keep it for sample checking;)

hopefully this get over soon fast, i planning for another trip to PRC on the feb.
Do not want to have too much worry on the 100 bills.sigh!

last day check out on CP hotel, saw the the hotel staff carry the 1000rmb, is it true? didnt ask them....

i do not think there is any 1000 rmb notes.
As for changing of rmb for feb trip.(to be cfm)
I am quite worry as there are lot of counterfeit notes around.
To be safe, would just go to my regular $$ changer.

Dun talk about ATm, even bank teller give u fake 100rmb if u r not careful. It happens to my friend in Shanghai. :D
