thanks bros for all the recommendation, my girl can't speak real good english.. but can still communicate lahhh at least not as bad as duck to chicken talk :p

but i would prefer if she can have a better command of english, would be good for her future job prospect as well but i wouldn't want to push her to it since she's quite busy with her account school at the moment.

so any latest attaction in hcm? don't get to see much of hcm with my current work load, any good place to visit or pak tor? :D

ride your bike to the city, park along side the road, balance yourself on the bike and smooch away.... :p

yeah, that was sure an eye opener when I first reached HCMC :eek: They can practically pak tor anywhere! Even in the middle of a highway or a roundabout, it's so dangerous! Not to mention inhaling in exhaust fumes from bikes and cars + road dust.... it's not something I will be doing any time soon :D

Vietnamese have a lot of weird or so called `uncivilised way' of doing things. One good example is what i always encounter at Coop Mart, when i go shopping. At the cashier, its a norm to wait for your turn. Sometimes the queue can be quite long. But when its about your turn, there will be some rude vietnamese that will cut infront of you and wanting to make payment. He/She will just act blurr and look away. Sometimes, really feel like hammering them. But maybe this is their way of life... U got to be rude and aggressive in order to survive in this society :eek:

that's so true, a few hours ago I was taking a flight back to HCM from Bangkok, there was a long que and suddenly two vietnamese just cut in the line at the front. I was pretty pissed off, uncivilised people! :mad:

Witnessed this shocking scene in Rach Chit Golf Range few weeks ago. I was doing my putting on the practice green, when a lao ah-goh just squatted 10 metres from me and pee...FULL FRONTAL! Cannot understand wat's in her head when the loo just happened to be 5 metres away. Troi oi!

Bro, Me early bird la. I wake up at 6am every morning. Yes, it has been raining for the past few days in HCMC, but just maybe 5 to 10 mins of rain. Not sure about other districts, but at my district this was what i have observed. :D

Its only about 7 months old and they allow lady guests so long as the girl has
ID with her.

Promotional rate was USD21 when I used it two months ago. The rooms are nice and the location is within walking distance of many of the central localities. Free internet in the coffee shop.
Personally I like this hotel much.

Alternatively if you want to save more, try this very nice hotel recommended by Sha Gua which is in Pham Ngu Lau backpackers' area.

Its also clean and the rooms are very decent except that it has lousy frontage in the back lane. Internet services on site but chargeable. Rooms from US$12 to US$ 18 depending on room size.
Again, the girl must have an ID card with her.
