Thanks,

Dalat wud be nice, I reckon. It's cold there..bring a sweater & thicker clothes loh. Warm bodies at bed in the nites suffice, no need pyjamas..:p But I'm not sure there's happening places there.. The lake wud be a good relax place to sit & chit-chat..

Muine ('mooi nee'), Nha Trang or Vun Tau ought to be good too..the later two are beachside I think?

Further up would be Hue, Halong Bay, Dalang (??)..some historical sites at Hue, it seems.

The daring one can enter Cambodia perhaps...

One hardly can be there at Tet as most of us are 'home-bound' locally for CNY too.

New place as mentioned by a previous samster here.

Butterfly Bar
96 - 98 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai. District 1 (Opposite Avalon Apartments)

Entrance is on the right side of the building. up the stairs. Down stairs is still under renovation and I guess it should be for a car show room.

Never been there yet. May go there soon. depends.

Club Palace located at Palace Hotel has re-opened.

Duiring the closure, I think they carried out renovations to the place. However the music quality has dropped abit. but still as crowded as ever. kept getting knocked into by people.

Heard from friends that its a very boring place. dont intend to go anyway. The 10hr bus journey already is a major Turn-Off

All 3 are beach sides. but water not very clean..especially Nha Trang. unless for Nha Trang u take chartered boat out to the smaller islands. Miss Nha Trang.

Hue has heavy chinese influence especially in terms of architecture. As for Ha Long Bay, it has been designated as world heritage site so i guess it is a tourist attraction.

Dalat is nice....but it is not cold to the extend that I need a sweater & thicker clothes...maybe I go at the wrong month...But I was out whole day and night wearing shorts and a normal T-shirt....and never even once feel cold....even at hotel....I sleep in nude....and even to the extend going to the reception...to ask for aircon...all they did is replied to me "there is no hotel in Dalat that have aircon....If u want I can bring a fan to your room" :(

mmm..I see. Perhaps there is season in Dalat? Some seasoned bros probably can confirm. Bro Reaper indicated not much fun there, I reckon it is so. It's meant to be a relaxing location for couples & lovers I read.

The estimated trip is around 6-7hrs by tour bus. And it is true that no air-con is provided in the rm in any of the hotel - I was understood.
