What a joke! He had not proven himself at the big stage.
Hope won't be a flop like McDisaster.

But oh well, we've had our fair share of flops wearing it. Hope he doesn't end up in that heap with Sanchez, Depay, Di Maria.... The shirt's been 'cursed' since Ronaldo left in 2009.

Join u guys to hope that it doesn't turn out to be another joke as many fans feared...like in insurance investment contracts n documents, they always print a disclaimer to say that past performance is not an indicator of present or future performance esp if that was a few years ago...wonder if ETH or the lousy scouting dept read abt this clause

MM - i rather man u sign a striker first instead than MM, the FFP restricts how much man u can spend on new players, by spending 60m on MM, they don't have the budget for a top striker

wat an unceremonious n inhumane way of sending off a loyal servant of 12 years who helped them win many cups n titles over those years... n even if they hv found someone better, they shd hv at least given him a farewell dinner at OT or any restaurant anywhere else, or bestow on him a meritorious service medal for example..not just simply open the door n ask him to walk out by himself.. not sure if there was even a final golden hand shake...sigh

I dun mind them walking away from Mount actually. Chelsea's valuation is too high, for a player with just one good season - and not even the most recent one - and a year left on his contract. Should have walked away when 50m offer was rejected. Latest 55m offer is too generous. Time to move on.

Should get deals for centre forwards over the line first.

Yeah saw that. Yet again paying the 'Manchester United Premium'.

Looks like another overpriced buy forced down their throats by their shrewd n intelligent arch rivals...always get knocked on their heads n hit hard in their pockets by other teams who knows how to take advantage of their desperateness to get their players...but it would be worth it if he can score 15 goals at least for them in the new season...to be seen if he can

I agree with u ..but wat is this FFP all abt ??...we saw chelski recruited so many players last year till their squad was so super bloated that this season they hv to get rid of many of them ..didn't they break FFP rules last year spending over 600 million euros or £ ???

It is said by many that he is a much better GK than DDG who is already a good GK himself...from wat many observers say of him, looks like he will do well in MU provided McDisaster don't play in front of him....DDG was played out by McDisaster by his frequent incompetent n comical defending

Pre-season is starting tonight with a game against Leeds in Oslo, Norway...then the curtain will rise for another heart-breaking season where the Red devils r concerned as their squad still comprises mainly those of last season....hardly any 1st team players or deadwoods hv been sold so far n they r still short of an impt 20-goal striker to help them get the league n European title n cups as well

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Utd Kids vs Leeds Kids for the first friendly of the pre-season.

But mind you - first half we had the first team backline (almost) and new boy Mount. Nice chip from him that unfortunately hit the top of the goal rather than go in.

Good energy shown by Hannibal - he might have had the opening goal but keeper made a good reflex save. But it was his running the length of the field and producing a last-man tackle to save a certain tap-in that was his highlight.

Amad looked dangerous and got into good positions but without the desired end-result.

Mainoo looked composed and very resistant against opposition pressing. Keep an eye on this boy.

It was the second half showing by the academy that won the match though. No senior team backline but they did good. How have we never heard of Noam Emeron = so polished and classy for his age. The opening goal plus an assist for Hugill's goal. Another one to watch.

Lyon next - hope we have more of the senior team back, plus maybe a new signing or two.

Wasn't prepare to watch this friendly.

But have sometime before sleep.

First half was definitely Hannibal. Full of energy and zest like playing for a real EPL match.

2nd half is Noam Emeran. He got the opening goal and also assist for the 2nd.
Totally deserve a starting on RW.
This is what I want, ripped in down the wings and fire.
Sorely lacking in Antony and Sancho.

MM - looks like he can displace fred as the best option for box to box MC, he displayed high energy and strong pressing. set piece delivery and understanding with teammates will improve over time

hannibal/diallo/mainoo - loan moves this season to continue development and gain more experience, hopefully can break into 1st team for 24/25

man u youngsters for 2nd half - a well oiled machine, great understanding, knowing where to pass and where to run when they have possession

hugill - has qualities of a No.9 with his runs and finishing, will be a thorn in opponents side if he can add 5-10kg muscle mass to become a targetman

For many years I think this is the worst ever transfer window I ever seen as a utd fan…

No main striker sign till now… and they wan to sign this rasmus hojlund for 70 million for a striker who score 10 goals in 36 appearances in seria A? Are they kidding me?

With mount and this goal keeper,I doubt we can even challenge for the title…. Hope I’m proven wrong by the end of next season

And lastly EPL is gonna start in less than 1 month and we still haven’t sort out the owner issue… seriously fuck the glazers man

Man city to win the league title again next season damn

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

The Onana deal is dragging on. Various 'sources' have quoted it as being done - even ESPN - but no official announcement and he is not in the squad travelling to Edinburgh.

The surprise inclusion is Jonny Evans - he had been training with Utd after leaving Leicester and apparently impressed ten Hag enough to sign a 'short term deal' to allow him to join the squad to face Lyon tonight.

On the centre forward front, rumours are that attention is switching to Kolo Muani, with Hojlund's price deemed too expensive (no argument there).

Friendly vs O Lyon tonight 9pm. From Edinburgh.

This should be the last friendly with "normal" timing.

Surprise to see Jonny Evans coming back to play.

Maybe he will be a good backup option. :D

I think it's yet another message by the gaffer to tell Maguire 'the exit door is that way', since playing Shaw at centreback wasn't enough.
