Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Is it time now to dump ETH if there are indeed plans to do so ?
Facing a match that nobody thinks we can win, would it hurt to shake it up so that maybe, just maybe, the match can have a chance to turn up the unexpected ?

Would it make a difference if we lost 1-0 or 7-0 given how the season has been.
Not sure how the euro placing go, seems that MU can only get in if they win the FA Cup.
Europe is the sea we need to get to, or we just end up being an above average size fish in a little pond.
Not placing hopes tho, tho I might put a $50 bet on Man Utd to win, going to check pools odds.
If Man Utd wins, go for SBF donor :D (Maybe ;) )

Also, good man Hojlund.

I also interested to know.
So I did a check.

Champions League qualification
Qualified: Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa

No question on this one.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Europa Leauge qualification
Qualified for Europa League: Tottenham
Qualified for Europa League or Europa Conference League: Chelsea
In the hunt: Newcastle United, Manchester United.

This one is bit messy.

if Manchester United wins the FA Cup, they will go into the Europa League. Chelsea would be push to Conference League play next season.
If Manchester City win the FA Cup final, Chelsea will go to Europa League while Newcastle United will go to Europa Conference League.

Maybe some of you might be asking....what's the hooha playing in Europe....
I want to have a good night sleep at 3/4am.
Well, it might not matter to you, but it greatly affect the clubs revenue.
Sponsorships, TV rights, fans season tickets....etc.
This is also the primary reason why the league matches wasn't cancelled during the covid peak period.
The clubs do not want to get sued or being pressed for refunds.

The same logic also applies why FIFA World Cup always have the redundent 3th/4th placing game.
Yes, it is all money !!

Cannot find odds in SG pools for FA Cup, strange.

Other areas odds are at 1 : 4.5

I expected it to have grown higher. If pools can have odds of 1 to 5, I will bet $50 on Man Utd win :D:D

The match is on 25 May. So think still early.
Maybe you check again on Thursday.

Take note the normal 1x2 is only applicable up to 90 mins.

If you want to bet Man U winning the Cup in extra time, penalty shootout,
you need to place bets on "Outrights and Specials".

Good Luck !

Now that you mentioned this....seemed like this issue had been swept under the carpet.
Maybe the top brass of all parties are involved.

I just checked.

The odds for normal 1x2 are out. Red Devils are severe underdogs.

City v United

City win -- 1.3, Draw -- 5.00, United win -- 6.5

There is no outright win bet, at least I could not find.
It is $6 now as I see it, gives Man Utd a flattering more than 10% chance to win in 90 mins.

Guess I'll be donating $50 to SG Pools.
If Man Utd wins, watch my name turn green :D

Anyone else going to go dumbass mode with me too ?

Pretty strange they didn't list the match in "Outright and Specials".
Usually that's where to bet outright winners.

I also make a small bet on Man U winning in 90 mins.
Very rare seeing Man U as underdogs.

Man U will need to buck up on the wings as that's where City launch their attacks. Especailly if Jeremy Doku is playing.
This guy is extremely fast coming down the left flank.
Their current star player is Foden. Who had an outstanding season in the absence of KDB.

ETH will need Varane and Licha CB combo. I believed Varane will still give his best in his last game for United. Need Varane for his excellent aerial prowess and reading of the game.
Im not sure whether Licha will be task to mark Haaland....the disparity in height is a big issue.
Finger cross......Onana will need to be at his very best.

Wingbacks should be AWB , Dalot.

DMC core : Casemiro. Mainoo

McTom should sit infront of DMC to support attack and add extra steel in midfield.

Garnacho will be the main attacking outlet from the left with target man Hojlund.

So left AMR position....need to accomodate the Capt...so thats where Bruno will operate.

I hope ETH won't go defensive as Man U had fared badly time and time again doing so.

Teams going defensive invites the opposition to bombard their goal area with waves after waves of attack...sooner or later they will concede goals esp if their defence is weak

Talking abt Garnacho, he has regressed a lot...though he still makes surging runs that threatens the opposition defence, he no longer is able to score goals, the final product that matters

Yes, like Xabi Alonso, he put out a defensive stance against Atalanta.
He got a string of excellent forwards to use, yet he made them sit on the bench.
Atalanta took full advantage and presssed Leverkusen.
The end result is he lost the Cup and also his 51 match unbeaten run.

Garnacho still good. I just don't like him going selfish trying to take shots where he could have pass to other players who are in a better position to score. He had become Trashford 2.0.
(Btw, Trashford had been dropped by Southgate for England 2024 squad)

You bet $1 on Man City win, you get back $1.30.
You bet $1 on draw, you win $5 if draw,
And so on.

Take note it is only up to 90 minutes.

Wow !...can't believe it the red pussies became devils tonight scoring 2 beautiful goals by Garnacho n Mainoo tearing citeh's defence into pieces...these goals were scored easily by them because Rashford quicked a high ball from midfield to Garnacho on the right wing who passed the ball to his nearby friends to score... the other contributed by the GK who kicked a high n long ball to the opposite penalty area causing their defence to panic n let the ball into their net....

hv always been telling them that it is easier to score goals by kicking long balls to the opposition end rather than play out from the back...if baldy had listened they would hv a place to play in Europe already

A very nervy 2nd half....even more nervy when Doku score.
This guy practically changed the game.

Told you guys don't lose hope liao.

ETH fulfilled his promise to bring the FA Cup back to Old Trafford. But will he get to keep his job??

Marmots huat gao gao sia!!!
