Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Looks like our in house pundits are optimistic on a Red Devils victory.

I'm not sure what will be the result after 90 mins. 3 losses in a row is unthinkable.

I do expect Saints to open the scoring though. :D

See you guys at 7.30pm. Early match. :)

If they cannot even beat Southampton away… they might as well go fuck themselves and sack botak after this… not even a draw game is acceptable…

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

FT : Soton 0-3 Man U

The tide turns once Onana saved Archer's penalty.

De Ligt with his debut goal.
Rashford breaks his duck.
Garnacho with that emphatic finish after some goodwork from Casemiro and Dalot.

Pity Zirkzee couldn't join in the party.

Surprised baldy started Eriksen. Once again, botak always one match away from getting chop.

Not a really convincing win....they started slowly like schoolboys again as usual for the 1st 30 mins.. so slow ...had the penalty gone in the result could hv been different as they will usually crumble when they kena an early goal n unable to recover...better teams like pool or neighbours city would hv punished them mercilessly n chopped them into pieces like pool in the last game

Positive point rashford looking more confident now… Onana saving the penalty…

But though with a 3-0 win with this type of performance… you can’t even win Aston Villa with this performance not to mention man city or arsenal

The team need to work more harder show more passion for the club itself… for the first 20 plus min I almost fall asleep watching the game…

Yes, there were positives n some improvements but a strong team like city or pool can thrash them if they continue to play like ai mai, ai mai at any time during the 90 minutes game....n they r just beating Sotong, the weakest team in the epl now

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

a comfy win at saints, here are some thoughts:

- saints were the better side until the missed penalty, man u defence lacked communication when defending, if archer scored, it could have been a diff story. after the miss, it was man u all the way

- dalot positioning were too high or too central, ETH gotta tweak his instruction. amongst the back 4, dalot is the weakest and opposition mangers have targeted him as shown by pool salah and saints dibling. i think he will lose his place when shaw returns

- eriksen started, either ETH see saints no up or he want casemiro to wake up his idea. with eriksen-mainoo in midfield, they were outmuscled in the first half, luckily the gamble didn't backfire

- saints played with a high line and prone to quick counters, but man u weren't clinical enough

- zirkzee link play was good, too bad he couldn't score

- rashford finally scored, hope can boost his confidence and form

- ugarte sub on and played with bite. man u need more players with bite. lets see how he perform vs strong opponents

- will be another roller coaster season, poor vs strong opponents and good vs weak ones, will take how long to be consistent?

Thank you !

Lest not forget, Soton lost 3 matches in a row before meeting Red Devils.
The way I see it, it is more of Soton not up to par...EPL standard.

Yes, it seemed there is something wrong with Man U going forward.
Many times, I see them broke away for counter, then they kind of tarik when it matters most.
The best analogy I can think of is when you are aggressively pumping your girl, she got very high, and she expect you to shoot to complete a climax for both parties....but you suddenly halted.
Anti-climax. :D
And the chance is lost.

Zirkzee looks like he is playing a laid back style. Probably emulating Berbatov. But I think Berbatov is way ahead of him in class.
Do agree he engage in link up play, but his job is put the ball into the net, not doing "stimulation foreplay" with his teammates.
And he is always like one step behind when it matters most.
Like trying to shoot inside the hole, but somehow his dick slipped out.:p

Yes, Dalot prosper because of Shaw being injury prone. I never felt he is a competent fullack. I view AWB higher than him in fact.
The way Tyler Dibling tormenting him until he concede the penalty speaks volumes. Dalot is at best a sub.

This season, if they can win the Europa, will consider very good. Top 4 is a big bonus. But looking at botak's aspiration, winning a single trophy is good enough for him.
At least he can boast around winning a trophy every season.
If Im SJR, if botak failed to get the club to Top 4 end of season, I will call him inside to my office, order him to kneel down.
Take out my dick, wank off and shoot my load on his baldy head! :D

saints style is the current meta, but they dun have the players like city, arsenal or pool to execute it. if classify, saints is relegation scrap type team, man u is mid-table. saints gotta be flexible, play more defensive when vs stronger teams. same thing for ETH, be more flexible against possession based clubs and play on the counter like they did in the FA cup final. play out from the back against opponent high press is asking for trouble... wtf

yes another wtf... several times have chance to counter but will fizzle out, or just pass back to defender and reset. i hope that things can improve when the squad gel over time

i think zirkzee is a good addition, can pass, can dribble, can link up play, can hold the ball, can score goals. he can play as no.9 (rotate with hojlund) or no.10 (deputise for fernandes), hope his attacking statistics improve when he gel w teammates

yup ETH prefers dalot over AWB cos he contributes more to the attack, but fundamentally as a defender, defending is more impt than attack, otherwise just be a midfielder lah. shaw has become too injury prone liao, sell him asap or release him when contract ends, but dalot will become 1st choice DL

no doubt winning trophies is impt KPI, but ultimately SJR & Co want man u to consistently challenge for top honours. ever since SAF retired, how much have man u spent? any PL or UCL won? ETH can argue that he won trophies, sorry to say they are not PL and UCL. the pressing issue at hand is to improve consistency and mentality, consistently finish in top4, then can talk about challenging for honours

EFL cup 3rd rnd vs barnsley at home, should be a comfy win, ETH likely to stick to same lineup that won at saints. maguire, ugarte, garnacho, antony, casemiro to sub on as this sat will be a tricky game at palace

FT : Man U 7 - 0 Barnsley

Barnsley is 2 rungs below EPL, btw.

Yes, emphatic win which the fans so badly wanted.

Botak spring a surprise starting Bayindir (GK), Toby Collyer (LB), Eriksen (AMC), Antony (AMR) and Ugarte (DMC).
Rashford was deployed as the SC and he didn't disappoint with 2 goals.
He set Red Devils on the way with the all important opening goal after Barnsley started strongly in the opening minutes.
Garnacho also score 2 and Eriksen turn back the clock with 2 goals in 4 minutes after Bruno came on.
Antony also earn a penalty and he converted the spot kick himself.

yup big win albeit a league one side, feels like ages ago when man u scored >4 goals, here are some addt'l thoughts:

- it was a walk in the park for casemiro and eriksen when the game is played at lower intensity, seems like ETH will select them vs bottom half PL clubs or lower tier clubs now that ugarte has joined

- home debut for ugarte, full of energy and running, good pressing, won't shy away from challenges, tidy on the ball and kept things simple, keano ver2.0? :p

- full debut for youngster collyer, i thought his performance was avg as he conceded fouls in his own third. needs to develop more if he wants to be ready for BPL

- good game for rashford who was direct and incisive, scored in successive games, it will further boost his confidence and form, will it continue this wkend? note that he was effective as SC vs a lower tier club but was quiet vs PL central defenders, could be one aspect of his game to work on

- despite winning the pen and scored, i still feel that antony is a one trick pony, will be behind rashford, amad, garnacho if he cannot improve

- 2 successive wins, 10 goals scored, 2 clean sheets, its smth positive to build on and keep the momentum going

- next game away at palace, ETH gotta select his strongest possible lineup to make it WWW

Roy Keane is the Captain who f**ks his teammates if they slack or sleep around on the pitch.
The one who the teammates dun f**k around with.
Ugarte is still far off, although his skills are there.
As I mentioned very early on, Utd lacks an inspirational Captain.
The one who turns things around when the chips are down.

On another note, the end of the match showed ETH also got fans.
This little girl sneak up behind ETH and call him when the ref blows the whistle. ETH acknowledge with her request to sign autograph.
And I can see her face lights up.
I also recall seeing a video whereby a little girl waited outside OT to present Cavani with a scrapbook which she collected with news of Cavani.
She was crying asking Cavani not to leave (the club).
I guess the football culture is strong in England.
