Have read and know SBF for many years but never joined until today and made my maiden post. However, have deliberated very long on whether to post to this thread and finally to do so.

I took the time to read most of this thread and it really hits me in many ways with various memories. Was esp shocked by bro Jackie Chan (0401) as his initials brings back memories....

Summary:
1.) For all newbies to HFJ, the truth is STAY AWAY (unless u really have cash to blow...n I mean heaps....like say 100k over 6 months and even then.....sigh)
2) High end KTV cheongsters....beware....the allure of HFJ and your pride developed over the "service" in KTV because of your spending power and repute will cause you to "suffer" even faster
3) The more beautiful the singer (and nowadays the better the vocals) = more likely the girl = STAY AWAY..:)
4) In nearly all cases, avoid hanging big to impress as its a spiral circle with your pride leading the way
5) Your real chance of surviving is being yourself and hanging small amounts. Your whatever amounts hanged will not get you far.
a. You hang big = you are $ tree = love of your $ not you
b. You hang big, there will always be others who will also hang big(ger) =
your girl will still be tempted daily
c. The girl who needs loads of Cash will always need more
6) Never leave your number with singer "mummy". They will tempt you to return when your girl goes back. And unfortuately, you will be tempted...:)

My main post for this thread.

There is hope even in HFJ and I just want to share.

1.) I was lucky
2.) I only spent 80k during my girl's 6 months and went astray for another 20k in HFJ withdrawal process (the final straw that broke the camel's back and resulted in my retirement from HFJ)
3.) My girl is still with me today and of all the "couples" during my time from our favorite HFJ, I can only say that we are the only couple that "survivied".

p/s: I did put up $ for an apartment in China and am supporting her monthly

Morale of post:
Love can still be found in HRJ but I think I am one of the lucky few that has managed to find a partner that was willing to give up all the "easy money" and stayed true to a relationship.
However, HFJ is really not the place to find true love....if its cheonging that you enjoy, stay clear and stick with KTVs....u will still find that beautiful china girl or fantastic singer...maybe slower searching process but definitely at much less fraction of costs with slightly lesser heartaches...:)

More than 10 years ago, it was one of THE BEST and MOST HAPPENING KTVs in Singapore...:D

Still the same? Doubt it as things have quietened down a lot over the last few years. :p

:) Brother me not bro jackie chan, i Escapee Serial Number 0401.

If you see me without my long sleeves, you can see that i have tattoed the initials EFHFJ#0401 in red ink on my right forearm.

Considered chopping off my little finger to remind me not to hang, but figured that the tatoo(no permanent ink) was ok already.

Life is too short to watse daily in a HFJ.

Yet i am down to a club to see the battle of the month. Want to see if the flower for #2 girl at 国都will be more than 100, 000 tonight.

No choice no money for supper, so going to eat the left over buffet food sigh...

Upfront 80K. Paying for the condo and paying money every month for her to spend for the rest of your life.

They are not looking for occasional miserable $300 banner in the HFJ.

Now if you own a $100 Million business and numerous bungalows, then she actually wants to marry you legally - of course she already planned to purposely sour the relationship later and divorce you in sensational divorce law suit citing the Women's Charter to be entitled legally to half of all your assets and half of your $100 Million business.

You realise that the moment you stop giving money, she will immediately reject you, regardless of how much money you have spent on her in the past. This is not love. It is a transaction. But of course, both you and her know that.

Bro, was there shortly, was hungry so left half way through the PPC.
