Some thoughts on the match.

- RA surprised naming Bayindir as starter and kind of stunned many. Bayindir was heavily criticized after the Spurs Carabao Cup match exit. But last night performance shows he had greatly improved, confident with the corner high balls and even saved 2 penalties. RA showed great faith in him and he didn't let him and the team down. Actually he is wearing Number 1, so he should start. Onana opt to wear 24 in the first place. Lol.

- Maguire was the heart of defence. He was outstanding. It was like turn back the clock with him like playing for England team. De Ligt and Martinez also get inspired to turn in a good performance.

- Toby Collyer came on for Mainoo with the match heading for ET. And boy, he did good. Unfazed by Arsenal and perform well under pressure. Future gem. The fact that Amorim sub him in, with Casemiro and Eriksen on the bench speaks volumes.

- Ugarte and Bruno, yes, really tireless all around. Put in the shift after Dalot was sent off on the 61st minute.

- Zirkzee....it appears he had pick up some pointers and I see him start to use his size and stature to go head to head with Arsenal. He even got a nice shot saved by Raya late on when he sub in for Hojlund.

Overall, a great team effort. But I give MOTM to Bayindir. He saved the Devils with that penalty in regulation time and penalty shootout.
He also display great agility saving from Rice too. I shudder to think if Onana was in goal. :p

Can the Devils maintain this momentum after 2 great away matches against Liverpool and Arsenal?

Match injustice.

The ref appears to want Arsenal winning with many calls against Devils. But justice served as the Devils prevailed.
Kai Havertz clearly went down with apparent no contact and ref immediately give penalty. Why VAR wasn't use in Cup matches??
Maguire protested angrily and many team mates also joined in.
Justice served as Bayindir saved Odegaard's effort, and later from Havertz in the PS.

Devils will meet Leicester next in the 4th round with RVN making a trip back to his old hunting ground. Interesting to see. :D

Yes, time to tell RA to make Bayinder No. 1 GK instead of banana...yah, kick banana out

Regarding Collyer going in as sub, RA shd hv done this in previous matches too but guess he too kiasu n don't trust them enough to play well unlike other team managers willing to risk n trust their young academy players on the field, n most never failed their managers e.g the 2 young academy players in the Spurs 1st team .

Yes, Zirkzee seems to hv improved somewhat n is showing how good he can be on the field...nearly scored another goal last night was saved by Gooners' GK...jialat most of the players we say r deadwoods hv now cum alive like Malacia...lidat how to hv money to bring in new strikers like Osimhen n Gyokeres etc, etc to replace them....maybe they shd sell Hojlund instead...nowadays he doesn't seem to be able to score any goals...he is too slow with the ball as a striker

Talking abt the ref it is obvious he is a gooner fan issuing so many yellow cards n giving a dubious penalty to the pussies for small little tackles only booking 1 gooner....he shd be investigated for all his dubious n bias decisions against the red devils...he thinks he can help the favoured team but he doesn't know God abv the heavens is watching too n is in control not him

Concerning VAR, got good got bad too...they r saying both teams club n players will be punished for the brawl in the match...if they want to punish club n players they shd punish the ref 1st who started it all with his unfair decision to give gooners a penalty ...in fact, all the refs who made decisions against the red devils shd be investigated...God will not allow such injustices on the pitch to go unpunished too ...like the case of their former ref David Coote who was finally found out for the wrong things he had done on the field as a ref

Yes, interesting for red devils to meet RVN again in the next round, this time as Leicester manager....both r dear to the club ...hard choice, who u support ?? ...RA or RVN ???....RVN knows the strengths n weaknesses of all the pussies who played under him as interim manager....I think it will pain his heart to hv to inflict hurt to the red players

Zirkzee biggest problem is he seemed to want to avoid any physical tussle.
That could explain why he keeps losing the ball and was "slow" as he didn't want to challenge for the ball.
But he forgot he is big size so can be a force to deal with if he is more robust.
His positioning and sharpness is there, so the only thing he needs is to be more physical. As this is the nature of EPL.
After the Juventus deal didn't work out, think he kind of straighten his thoughts.
Hope to see him improving in future matches. He can be devastating once he make use of his size.
As for Hojlund, he is still young, thus inexperence.

Of course, hope to see more of Toby Collyer. Could be another Mainoo.

It is really down to whether the players wants to play for the manager.
The pussies have shown they can be real Devils if they want, like against Liverpool and Arsenal.
If they play like this against Leicester, a win is in the bag.

well said! would like to add on...

- can see that man u was able to deal with arsenal set pieces, they must have practised alot to minimise the confusion deliberately caused by the arsenal runners

- can also see that man u is starting to play with bite and not getting outmuscled/bullied, previously it was just mainly amad and ugarte play with bite. they were fired up vs a big rival, the main thing is can they replicate it week in week out?

- the amount of yellow/red cards is certainly worrying, performances/results will be affected with key players suspended, playing with one man down will disrupt amorim game plan

- finally got to see academy youngster playing, looks like collyer has alot of potential and has the build to handle PL, another midfield engine like ugarte, he should be able to deputise whenever ugarte kena suspension

- next match is PL vs saints at home, saints form is poor but man u is only slightly better, if man u can perform like they did vs city, pool, arsenal, they can win, otherwise be prepared to get booed

What is the common demoninator for both Liverpool and Arsenal matches? Rashford not in the picture.

I think Rashford is finally leaving Manchester United for AC Milan. Time's up for him.

Match goes penalties!

Can Bayindir save the Devils?

Think the Devils did extremely well despite down to 10 men.

Won !! Devils won 5-3 on penalties!!

Bayindir save from Havertz and Devils score all 5 penalties!!
Zirkzee was assign last taker and he kept his cool to ram home the last penalty.

What a fairy tale end!!

Recent Man Utd performances have been very confusing.

Weaker sides, collapse.
Stronger sides, they go FOR SPARTA !!!

Can't figure it out.
Are they coming together ? Or just on a bit of form ?
The ups and downs just too erratic.

Or its a Rashford effect ?
No big players in Man Utd, only Man Utd players in Man Utd.

Will need more matches to see where Man Utd really is.
But really need to fight for Euro spot, or next season is just going to be so bland.

dalot is suspended, so mazraoui will be LWB and amad RWB. despite 5 at the back, the backline is still vulnerable to thru balls played to runners, they must be alert at all times and track the runs. saints is at bottom of table, man u is expected to win although saints will put up a fight, won't be a thrashing :o

Wow, JonesKnows got the result right n nearly the scoreline too !...it's 3-1 not 3-0 ...the red pussies were saved by their HERO n devil n shining star n talisman, poacher etc .. none other than AMAD !! :)...who scored a 1st hattrick as a red devil !!!...during the last 15 minutes of the game....shame on the other deadwoods except Erikssen who helped him score one of the his goals n if not for his speed n accuracy in shooting n poachering, the red pussies would hv stayed in 15th position in the table n maybe lower still...if not for Amad they would hv lost the game...this makes fans worry that they might lose their next match against a strong Brighton team which hv beaten them several times b4 n tonight beaten Ipswich 2-0...oophs tonight no one is watching the game, given up on the pussies

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Didn't watch the match as too tired.

My friend say a very lacklustre performance yet again by the pussies.
Hojlund was simply terrible.
Luckily got Amad with that 12 minute hat trick.
Think he got fed up with the other players not making any effort.
So he decided to take matters in his own hands.
Really is one shot one kill.
Zirkzee came on for Hojlund and kind of inject some life upfront.

Amad recently recontract until 2030, probably that fired him up.
One man carry the entire team!!
And the smallest player on the pitch....the other players ought to be ashamed.

Pussies move up to 12th in the Table.

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

At least we got the win.
Time to ship out all those expensive and non performing players.
And pls don’t change Ahmad’s position with Dalot.
:D
