YES , LTVP can seek Employment in Singapore ! It will not "eat" into the foreigners quotas , Company will not require to pay levy as well ...

However, once employment is successful, LTVP will be replace by Work Permit ! and likewise vice versa ...

There are MANY samsters whose wife are working with a LTVP converted into Work Permit.

Anyway, did you read the website link before such comment ?

Since u commented "Rubbish" , I bet you know many things about this, Maybe you can Share with us why its "Rubbish" ....

Bro shysaint and Bro Hurricane88...

When I said 'Rubbish', I felt that the statement is just merely entertaining us.... I understand also there are MANY samsters whose wife are working with a LTVP converted into Work Permit, but how many really ? Honestly speaking, it will be extremely hard for LTVP holders to find any decent job with decent pay. How often do we see 'Only Singaporeans or PR need apply' in jobs ads ? What are the kind of other jobs left available ?

So end of the day... yes LTVP can stay in Singapore but i really doubt the part on finding employment ....

I maybe wrong.... but would be good to hear more to change my opinion....

Cheers !

Bro,

It's good to share in a FUN way ... that should be the right spirit of sharing ...

You are NOT wrong and neither we are Right .... Individual experiences and exposure ...

Yes , I fully Agreed on your statement ,,, UNLESS she is educated else it's pretty difficult.

If we are talking about high level work with high level requirements, then there isn't much to talk about.

Currently those who are working legally , works to supplement additional income back home , hours may be long as least it's better than taxing their husband and its definitely better working in Vietnam (in our case).

THose who are able to find work are able to communicate in Mandarine and English, chance aer much higher than others ... I do have a friend who is able to help these gal find work if they can comm in mandarine and english ...

I also have a friend who come here as work permit to work in lee hwa jewellery.

Mostly works in Pedicure and Manicure salon, there is a franchise shop who employs mostly Vietnam Gals who are on LTVP to provide the service.

I recently also knows of a Thai girl whose husband is a SC , she works part time for tiger as a beer promotor .. she is damn pretty BUT whether she works legally or illegaly, i not sure.

Vietnamese still got market here as they still posess some skills ...

CHina I not sure .. Thailand .. Massage ?

U can submit alone when applying cos they just check those document that is require which mean is true copy. The only thing she have to go is when there is any document which she could not provide, example birth cert cos they would require her to acknowledge by writing on a pierce of blank paper and sign.

If everything is enough, she just have to go down once she receive the letter that the pass have been approve cos they will have to take down her thumb print

Re: Issue with ICA

My observation from the newspaper is now that there is more employer choose to employ LTVP especially in F&B line.Partly due to govertment issue out less PR nowadays.

I guess those employer now have no choice but find their source of worker from LTVP holder.Bro turbo point out that employer chose to employ SG or PR.Yes i also notice that, maybe the reason for employing LTVP is more troublesome and normally MOM will reject cos PR will contribute CPF where else LTVP no need.

I guess is LTVP employment is rising because employer do not need to pay cpf and foreigners levies ... :p

yes,but govertment still prefer PR cos they contribute Cpf as they will not be so stupid to help us save guard our money. If they so good, then where got the money to pay for CPF staff salary and give us higher inerest compare to sg bank saving account per year?

It is even harder to get PR with a work permit.

I also got rejected by ICA last yr too. :(

Re: Issue with ICA

My friend has apply for his PRC gf for a multiple trip 60days Singapore VISA.
It was approved by ICA.
Within this 60days period, my friend want to bring his PRC gf from Sin to Kuala Lumpur for a short trip. Then back Singapore.
I ask him to go Malaysia Embassy apply Malaysia VISA.
Did I miss out telling him anything?
Can the malaysia VISA be multiple trip too?
Thanks.

Re: Issue with ICA

Let's hope that some bros here can provide some insight here (fingers crossed):

1) A viet holding LTSVP wants to seperate/divorce her husband because he is ill treating her. I presume that this LTSVP pass will immediately be cancelled once this is done and that she has to return to Vietnam immediately.

2) If after divorce, what are a chances of getting another LTSVP and/or PR if she re-marries another Singaporean? She has another Singaporean bf who intends to marry her after her divorce is official.

1) not clear what you want to ask...you meant after divorce...yes the LTSVP will be cancelled...:p

2) Depends on the merits of her divorce...high chance she will not get another LTVSP...this woman will not be welcome to sinkie...may takes up to 3 years for the divorce...:p

3) if she can prove that her husband beat her...then this is criminal and state will prosecute the husband on her behalf...:p

I think she has another bf that's why all these bs stories of ill treatment...her real motives to file for divorce...:p

Just my 2 cents worth...

my answer from the other thread you posted

Re: Issue with ICA

another option will be getting married in thailand first before bringing her over. with the marriage cert issued there, get it translated to english and use it to bring her over as well as to apply for PR. Make sure you get the thai embassy in singapore endorsement first before start using it.
