My assumption was that they want out of dpkr so quickest way out was to marry foreigner. Even Seoul in the 80s when there was still martial law was easy to get south Korean girl. Taiwan too.

U r most welcome. My purpose of sharing this exp so that members wil be aware of this method of squezzing balls by ahgua to rob.

Ok, i shall continue what happen after i was rob. After d ahgua snatch my wallet n ran away, i gave chase, then a motorcycle fm behind rode to d front of tis ahgua n tis ah gua jump into d back of d motorcycle n they sped away.

I was quite stunned for a moment n then v quickly another motorcyclist came to me n offer me help to chase d other getaway motorcycle. I was quite happy n so i quickly hop into d back of his motorcycle n then he started to give chase but damn, he rode quite slowly until we lost sight of d thief n then he pretend to ride faster. Obviously tis helper was also their gang n his job was to steer me away fm d robber.

So i signal him to return back to wat phnom becoz my friend stil there. When we reach wat phnom, this motorcyclist demanded us to pay him usd4. So after paying him, damn, another blood sucker came to my "rescue",

this time a genuine petite lady quickly approach me offering me help. She took out her hp n ask me whats my tel number as she claim she might know who was d robber and she wil try to get back d wallet for me. As she was also operating her fl biz in wat phnom, so obviously i thought she shld know who that ahgua robber was. And so v happily n with sm hope, i took out my old iphone4 n then ask her for her hp number so tat my cambodian hp num can appear on her hp .

AT tis pt of time i seems to hv sm problem communicating with her n then v quickly, that same motorcyclist who offer me help quickly rode to wards me. He was v cool n just stood there watching me n this girl. Seeing him being so helpful i then pass him my hp n ask him to key in d girl hp number. both he n d girl were a gd pretender. He started to press my hp here n there n also ask d girl wats her hp number then all of a sudden he rode off v cooly with my hp. All that i could do at tat time was to laugh n be angry within me. The girl then pretended to tel tis motorcyclist.

So its obvious that when d girl ask me for my hp num, she knows i wil surely take out my hp. The motorcyclist job was then to come cooly towards me and then at d right opportunity, to snatch my hp n rode away but i made his job easier by passing my hp to him.

ITs a very big n impt lesson i learnt fm these episodes.

So as can be seen fm this episode, from d pt i was robbed of my wallet upto the point where d motorcycle rode off with my hp, its crystal clear that they operate as a group. On second thought i consider myself lucky that i didnt manage to catchup with that ahgua becoz assuming if i did manage to catchup with tis ahgua, i believe his gang wil surely hv no choice but to confront n attack me possibly with weapons.

So wil i stil go to phnom penh n wat phnom, yes i will but this time i wont carry alot of money n i wil leave my ic, driving licence etc in d hotel rm tat hv gd security. And if im rob again, i will never give chase or sit in any persons vehicle offering help. I was lucky that the motorcyclist did not bring me to a secluded area.

End of this mth im going pp and sihanoukville. Hehe, once bitten twice shy. Im now more well prepared!!!

brothers! I travel to PP on a regular basis for business for the past 2 years. my local partner for the first time suggested that I should be careful during this period as there are plenty of crimes be reported on the news paper recently. Bros who are here for Xmas should be really careful.

As I am always here alone and for work... I never had the kaki to venture to the happy places. I usually put up along Street 9 and there is a place where u can get a oil massage (7 dola) and a hj (15 dola). The ladies however has to be lucky drawer.... sometimes good other times very black :p

Was it at nite, the streets along Casa to the river?

Careful of anywhere near the river after 1-2am in the nite... cause, no geninue Khmers will come to our rescuse even if they know you are in trouble...

The only ones who might come to our rescue is those tourist(s) who do nkt know the dangers they are putting themselves into...

The street directly outside of the pub usually directly outside the pubs are safe and few hundreds to a thousand plus are considered safe there...

I will advise you advise against leaving your valuable(s) in your hotel room safe... it may be even worse, unless your hotel is a high-end one with very good safe system directly in front of the lobby like those in M'sia Spa where double key system and guest can see who is accessing/ touching the safe and run by a number of expat(s) in middle and high level mangement...

My personal advise is to take the passport and valuables with you while leaving hard copies of passport, passport photo(s) and enough emergency money with trusted friends and in hotel room only... safe is not "safe" (from personal experience), in fact, its the first place that in-house theft takes place

SG embassy is quite easy to find in PP and efficient

I used to walk the whole PP by myself the whole nite and never met with mishaps but I also encounter a few expats who were attacked for no reason or due to brawl because of gal issues

It need not have to be a lot of money, just enough for the robbers take action froms a few thousands to millions... usually, these robbers are insiders or notify by their friends working in the places.

Last time, Cambodia still very poor and many Khmers were afraid of another civil war, so they avoid striking tourists (money trees) after Hun Sen warns heavy action for those pe$$$$$tors but now, Cambodia is getting richer and has a small middle class themselves and the poors' conditions are getting worse from all the land grab...

Tourist is no longer as important as they were in the past and memories of civil war is a distant memory for the current generation of Khmers who wants to oust Hun Sen from the government

I don't understand why PP was been describe as that dangerous,i went there few times for the past 4 years and have not encounter any danger.Just use your common sense when venturing out at night.Yes the streets mostly is dim even those major road like monivong.I use to walk around before 10pm and don't feel any danger,just be sensitive of your surrounding.

wat phom is indeed very dark which I agreed from pub street all the way to US embassy before casa especially the round about and park there so is best to spend a few dollar take a tutu to casa if you are going there.

Stick to pub street but anyway PP is so small and don't venture to those dark alley.Infact I feel safer in PP than HCM whom I feel Vietnamese is more daring who I have encounter several time even in broad day light:eek:

Not so brief FR on PP-

Parked at TEAV boutique hotel on st 310, $4 tuk tuk ride away from st 136 bar area.

First night, visited the 136 bar street. Most were stocked with typical short chubby Khmer brown sugar, not my cup of tea. After getting a foot massage first, spotted a slender gal walk into Helicopter bar. So popped in and had a couple of drinks. That slender gal was busy talking to customers so I decided to buy drinks for two other girls who had already glued themselves to me. Lady drink was about $3.8 dora lol. BTW, almost everything in PP is transacted with dora. Therefore, no need to sexchange to Riel.

From chit chats, found out the cuter of the two was still a virgin, as well as the slender one I had my eye on earlier, thus, no takeout for them. That killed any incentive to stay. Thus, moved my ass to the next bar, 69.

Found one who had a more Viet than Khmer look. More importantly, my hands kept finding their ways to her soft buxom chest. After two more Angkor beers, didi was squirming for some action.

Was asked for $100(excluding $10 BF) for ST, but countered with $50, knowing the rate should be $30-40. Didi was in a Xmas giving mood. She proposed her friend should cum as well. Didi also gladly accepted. Didi thinks it's Santa Claus.

Tuk-tukked back to hotel with the two ladies in tow. Hotel manager stopped us and revealed that only one girl is allowed in each room. Apparently, Khmer Rouge had killed the concept of orgy as well. Just when I was about to pretend the ladies were my long lost sisters, I noticed a sign on the counter that read "No Sex Tourism."

Eventually, the sexier, younger one ended up in my bed (this was no time to be charitable or equitable) while the other waited at the lobby. She was a nice find....somewhat shy demeanor with nearly no pubic hairs and absolutely no smell while I performed my tongue exam. My $50 lasted about 2 minutes, albeit happy 2 minutes. Perhaps, besides LT and ST, there should be Ultra Short Time lol.
