Bro,

In China, Couples who are unmarried cannot stay overnight together...they must leave at 11 p.m.
When Gong An caught up with you and a gal, they will separate you and ask details about you from the gal such as full name etc and vice versa....
If dont match....then both party will be fined and as an expat...you could be barred from entering the country and matters report to your embassy.
They will not stamp anything on your passport becoz it will be disrespectful to the issurer herein Singapore.

However if both of you are foriegners ( even not married) than they cannot do anything to you.

I suggest staying in those reputated hotel and you are more safe then those motels. Mostly these motels are operated by those thugs. And those gong ans never give face one. I experienced one jialat jialat one before..... :(
