Hanging Flowers Joints
 

Been hanging out recently with friends who frequent such joints, must say I'm a little hook......mostly PRCs singers.....hang 'flowers' or sash......no outright hanky panky but slow befriending process......maybe I'm getting old but these joints seemed like a breath of fresh air......any bros into this kind of entertainment?:)

it was a hit back in the mid nineties when i was based in Thailand.. the garland of flowers will be 'beautified by the 100, 500. 1000 bahts' that goes round it....

not alot in singapore but there there are a few that has nice singers and environment. I usually just follow people around, but can say have been to quite a few places. lets see if this can be of help to some bros. Beer prices are the last i been there, so might have changed since.

Yang Tze KTV (Chinatown)

anyway would advise you stick to one place and get popluar there.
but do beware, small amount adds to huge amounts, and beware of singers
that ask you to give them tips instead of hanging flowers.

Recently business have been bad for a few places, so they might act poor and ask you for money.

Also remember if you bring them out during their singing hours you have to pay fine. some places have 3 performance time, 9pm, 11pm and last performance at 1am.... the KTV/BAR fine also varies for these times.
I would suggest dont waste money and get them out after they finish performance which is around 1.30am (usually)

Thanks bro T55......let me add one more.....Collyer Quay......pure hang flowers beer garden with well over 25 girls (PRCs, malaysians, local even one Thai)...and the Serangoon joint you mentioned....is it Gemini? Got Thai singer......Datuk like:) Also got people told me Broadway (old Rex cinema) closed down liao but recently passby like got some activities....any updates? Cheers!

Not been there in awhile......I think the same boss as the recently defunct Starlight 181 in Kallang KFC.......now changed name to Zenith (chinese name Zhing Nan Hai) but yet to check out this joint.......

Hang flowers may seem very glamorous, the split is 70 to girl and 30 to the ktv. If really wanna impress and "fish" the girl, give to the girl directly better.

Rex confirm closedown liau lor, but then someone taking over turning into Disco. Ya. beside rex also have a small KTV underground one called dont know what dangdut.. have PRC and minah singer.

as for thai.. hmm dont know leh.. thai not my cup of tea hahahha.. i cant understand what they singing. serangoon place last time have thai but the last time i was there.. no thai

well the split depends lor. some place is 50-50 some 60-40 some 70-30
some start with 50-50 and if they hit a target its 60-40 and then 70-30
and some if they hit a target they get basic salary also.

and if you give the girls directly and they dont hit the target for a few months, you might find them gone, most KTV will send the singer back to china or ask them to leave if they cannot hit the target.

i would suggest you find a place that can give you 90-10 split. and if the gal is your gal... you only pay 10% to the KTV.

i know alot of people who have this priviledge, they hang 10K flower and then only pay 1K to the KTV, and then pay the gal 1K.. and they get the glory of hanging 10K. Dynasty classic is famous for that..

and also sometimes dont fall for the flower war trick. last time was asked by a manager in Dynasty classic to help hang fake flower. whenever he sms me, i will hang a certain number of flower to some singer. and the singer will put on a show look at me smile and all that.. that night itself i "hang" like 40K of flower.. but then the other party who wanted to target the singer hung like 60K worth. . well the whole idea in the first place is for me to Stimulate the other party into a war. so that he will hang more and more.

I know of other places that does that. the serangoon place is famous for this.

bros...one of the largest "hang flowers" joint is Dynasty Classic...

on an average night is easily 10K...one a good night easily >25K...on final night of "stars" highest i have witnessed was 50K for that singer alone.

usually there are around 14-18 singers at a time. good quality in terms of singing...

Thanks to bro hunter1234 for bringing up DC. If we're talking about hanging flowers, which me too a big fan of, DC is THE place! One senior bro here (evo3) is the authority on DC. You can search his posts on this to know more about the place.

I've been frequenting DC last year, really liked it. There are several singers who can easily sell a lot of records (if they have good producers, that is). An economical way of reccing at DC is to sit at the bar stool. You only pay for a jug of beer and nuts. You can sit there the whole night listening to their singing and dancing.

Cleopatra (aka Xianzi, on Princep Link & Bencoolen) is another joint I went in the past. But after seeing DC, it just can't compare. The ambience is too poor, doesn't look like a classy place at all. Not necessarily cheap either. I know a couple of singers there who are nice girls, but in terms of singing, not up to the notch.
