Is human nature. Why bother to read through pages of info and try to sieve out the relevant one when it's much more easier to shoot off a pm or forum post and get the exact answer. Some even take a further step by asking you to reply via pm so thar they don't have to search the forum for your reply to their questions.
I understand the need for efficiency when researching for info for academic or work purpose. But, this is for pleasure. Just simply relying on provided might cause you to miss out important tips that are contained in the forum posts and can only be found by reading them.
