I like your principle of being prudent and minimize room spending cost whenever possible and at the same time being transparent about it. You are one of the rare organizer that I'll be comfortable with joining (if I'm not the organizer) as nowadays most organizers are not transparent and some even try to mask the real costs to smoke/cheat newbie bros.
