I was in ZH and too a private car that bring me directly to airport 3weeks ago. I stay in gongbei and traffic was bad for the first 15min, then a smooth ride of about 15min to reach hengqin then 10min to reach Macau airport. My flight was 5pm and crossing custom was fast without any problem. Saw a long Q for china passport but foreign passport was empty. Hope my info helps.
