I mainly stayed in Formosa. But i do have a bit of experience on Nine Days Hotel when i linked up with another bro quite some time ago. The ambience is not bad,clean and pretty new too,the set back is no lift,hehehe....surrounding area are all higher end eateries in indo terms,eg wey wey Sea food but its a very convenient stay there as moving around basically do not require taxi,eg going for movie,shopping,Spa Massage,disco,KTV etc. But booking girls from joints may need a taxi tho,unless you wish to go Discotheque or pubs to hunt.The new Titanium Club is also nearby. Octopus Spa and Ocean Spa are close by too.
Pricing wise only few dollar difference,should be alright by most Sillyporean. As i see this edit massage,i was thinking if Kaha would be a better choice to book that room,but i think back again...i spend a few dollars take taxi to Kaha to book nine days hotel room,then come back to hotel just to save that almost same few dollars...plus minus,all goes to naught again....lol.

Yeah, your guides helped me quite a bit.. I shared about 9 Days because I thought it was value for money, but turns out, I was comparing against Singapore pricing. No Lift, and the area, ok la, got the seafood and pubs in somewhat walking distance, but other than that, I don't go to Titanium club, so will look for another hotel next time.
Hopefully next trip can see you there. Please allow me to buy you a meal or something. =D
