Tom, I'm told that this forum serves for lots of newbies to post messages like that and then receive PM's back from other newbies in the same predicament, coming here from Singapore for a few days but not knowing anyone to go hang out with here.
I agree with you that for us, it's not of any interest. Seems like this thread is serving lots of different interests for different kinds of users. So it's of interest to a lot of users here. So I think a problem is that the thread is too general and trying to include competing interests at the same time. Better would be if there was an "Arrivals / Meetups in Saigon" thread for guys like this. Then another with "Sex info in Saigon" for guys like me. Maybe a "Speak cryptically in public to your personal friends" thread for guys who like to do that rather than in PM.
