December is super peak. Crowded. Do plan and execute ahead. Last week of december (after Christmas to 2016), quite a few shops tend to be closed (owners being Christians). Christmas is considered a major holiday in Batam.

A recommendation the next time you try (and if available) - ask Denny to pick out "fat" flower crabs and steam it . Another dish (if available) - fresh cockles - the size close to a golf ball - cooked in soy sauce-whatever-he-called-it-I-dunno LOL! And another : Sotong sambal petai ! Another : fish steamboat !
