My first time driving in the PI was from Clark to Subic in a rented SUV. After spending a day at Subic and returning back to Clark, I forgot the traffic direction was the other way when I turn off the highway towards CDC and was driving against the flow of traffic when I got stop by cops on motorbikes. I explained to them it was my first time driving in the PI and in Singapore we drive the other way. They asked for my drivers license. I showed them my accreditation pass and "peso" license. They took both my pass and the 500 peso note and pretend to record my particulars, then they gave me back my pass and kept the peso and told me to go. And even advised me to "drive slowly and carefully as it is your first time driving on our roads Sir."
