Yes u r absolutely right, thanks for clearing the confusion.

As a Singaporean, their lines can b quite confusing to us. In Singapore, all the lines we call them as MRT, but in bangkok, they have the MRT lines and the BTS lines and they r not integrated, for example in soi cowboy, we have the sukumvit station which is for the MRT line and the Asok station for the BTS line. So in soi cowboy if u wish to go Nana station, u go Asok station. And if u wish to go huai khwang, then u go sukumvit station.

In my opinion, d best is to stay around asok/sukumvit station as its so easy to go huai khwang, Nana, soi cowboy, Chinatown(hua lamphong station) and not far from patpong. Also can take train to suvarnabumi airport. And if u wish to beat d traffic jam to go don muang airport, u may take MRT to mochit, then get down n take cab. Jam in bangkok is quite bad.
