I dont know if this works or any benefits for you, but just suggest.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I stay here never longer than 1 week. Buying a SIM card for the week is what I need, as it expires anyway before I come back.
However, I know Simpati work well. What about the coverage and transfer speed achieved by other operators?

As Nono noticed, they recycle numbers. Therefore, if too long time passed, it is likely that the same number is now in use by someone else.
However, doing as you suggest just saves the hassle to take the passport to GraPARI, but it does not save the time wasted to go there. I don't need keeping the same number.

I think this is the last time I buy the second SIM card for the GSM phone. I am noticing that even the poorest girls working in Newton now have a phone with WhatsApp. I still did not use the GMS phone to keep contact with someone who does not have WhatsApp. I may need it if if I go hunting girls in Pasar, but for the moment I do not plan to do that

I am the kind of guy who wants to understand everything. I am not happy to do something just because it works. I wish to understand the logic behind.

To be fair with Telkomsel, I am satisfied with their 4G. It may be not like in Singapore, but today I tested the transfer speed in 3 places (Formosa, Nagoya Hill, somewhere around) and at all times the download/upload speed was around 8-12 Mbit/s. Not bad, and better than the wifi of Formosa (max 2 Mbit/s)
The light on my MIFI modem is almost always blue, which means I am connected to HSDPA or LTE, seldom green (3G)

Yesterday night they stopped music and turned on the lights at 5am SHARP. I was used to see Newton still active till after 7am, as you say.
Yes, it makes me feel unconfortable, going back to Formosa with the sun already up and good people already at work.

I suspect that some one(Ktp/Kk) info might be sold together with the Sim card.
Next time, should I waste more time going to GraPARI or looking for such a seller?
I think GraPARI is still more convenient. By the way, I wasted one hour but all included, from the moment I asked the SIM card the first time to when I saw Internet access on.

You are too kind, indeed. Appreciated.
