I believe a lot of food from Malaysia and Singapore can be found in Batam,Indonesia.
One of my favourite food in Singapore and Malaysia which i can barely find in Batam were... Pork Ribs with sweet and sour sauce (糖醋肉).
However having said that, i found the above dish...a imitation version in a Buddhist temple (Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Monastery),hehehe...except its in the form of vegetarian transformation. And i love it. Love the taste, love the price too.
Hehehe...occasionally, they even have crabs and chicken wings too (as below).
...and they usually wont cost more than 30k rupiah (inclusive drinks) per person.
