Carrick: We're ready for Roma
Michael Carrick is confident Manchester United will score in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie with Roma.
Though United lost in Stadio Olimpico, Wayne Rooney's away goal put the Premiership leaders within one goal of the semi-finals.
And Carrick admits morale within the Red Devils camp is high ahead of the return meeting with Roma at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
"We know the situation we are in," said Carrick.
"We have to score, but we are always confident of doing that."
With United aiming to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg, Carrick is expecting the fans to create a fervent atmosphere for the visit of Roma.
He added: "It is going to be a great occasion. I am sure Old Trafford will be bouncing.
"We are really looking forward to it and we know the crowd will get right behind us.
"We have given ourselves every chance and, come Tuesday, we will be ready."
