- Silver Dragon. Still under construction and will apparently be made into two GoGo’s. Why? I don’t know.
- Spankys/Hog’s Breath. Open again as one GoGo named Spanky’s.
They’ve got some work to still do however on getting some talent in there. Given the owner has three GoGo’s on Soi Cowboy one of which is DejaVu that does great shows, I expect this GoGo will evolve over time. Besides weak talent the seating is crap. You can’t fit in the first row and there are crazy bumps throughout. Really cheap seating. Makes no sense. The stage is also quite narrow so the shows will be limited if they do them. I do like the Coyote dancing pods and the big screen TV but that’s about it so far. Drink prices are already marked to normal. It was 130 baht for a Vodka/Coke. Overall, lame opening, very lame, but I’m sure it will pick up. There’s no way they will give Angelwitch (AW) a run for their money but over time they may add to Nana’s offering and compliment AW much like Deja Vu compliments Long Gun. However, if they get hot chicks, fix the seating, do more riske shows than AW (which might had an added benefit of getting Nana to Soi Cowboy’s nudity and raunch level), advertise the shows to start at 10:00 and have 1 or 2 hot girls in front holding the signs waving people in non-aggresively of course (Customers have to go past Spanky’s to get to AW after all so they have first access to customers looking for shows), and offer great Customer Service then it becomes an easy decision over AW. Like I said, I don’t see them giving AW a run for their money given this is a pretty tall order.
- Obsession. Yes, it’s a Ladyboy bar but as a kick we went in for a drink to see how busy it was. The rest of the Plaza was dead that night, even the Rainbows, but Obsession was cranking. I was astonished at how many Ladyboys were working. There must have been 50 of them. I was also amazed at how tiny some of them were. Obsession is known for the most female looking Ladyboys and I can see why. I didn’t get a chubby though. No, really, I swear.
- Erotica. A dead zone. Ever since Erotica John left it’s gone way downhill. A few tiny one’s still left but slim pickins and it’s a bit chaotic. Also, they have been closing the 4th floor due to lightened trade.
- DC-10. Hey, we hit one of the Ladyboy bars so why not a half GoGo that I’ve only popped my head into before. This place always gets good reviews for the sleaze. Perhaps it is sleazy but I wasn’t about to find out with the girls that were working there that night.
