My arte who is a recruiter for maid agencies says there has been an upsurge in applications to work as FDWs. Not village girls from the usual poor countryside provinces but from educated city girls. Many of them have lost their jobs and were unable to find another job. A few of the applicants were PIA stewardesses that were let go by the airline. Although the cost of hiring a FDW from PI has almost doubled.... but it is worth the expenses as you will be getting young educated lass as your maid.
