I think Bangkok is still safe as long as you practice common-tourist-sense like sticking to the crowded tourist areas like Asok or Sukhimvit, or dont anyhow respond to strangers approaching you on the streets. I just came back last week. The streets of Asok/Sukhumvit and the clubs im Ekkamai really alot less Tiongs, but still alot of Farangs, Japs/Koreans and Singaporeans/Malaysians
no need to stick to tourist area. tourist areas should be avoided unless you are a newbie. there is nothing wrong and concerning about the safety situation in Thailand. but there is something wrong with these Ah Tiongs.
