A foreigner to them is basically a ticket to a standard of living that is much better than what they have right now. TO us, air-conditioning, internet, having your own bed room are basic necessities but to them it is considered a luxury.
I am not saying that they are materialistic, well not all of them anyway...but they are just looking for a better standard of living thats all.
