S$291 is not a bargain deal but nonetheless still not too expensive.

Tiger Airways already costs around S$220 even though I had booked in June!
If you've noticed the fuel surcharge/tax are higher from October onwards. These 2 months the current trend of Tiger Airways is they usually give out the good deals at the last minute. Probably the take up rate is not high for certain routes and especially during this period. The HCMC route has very good bargains lately. Currently at S$180+ for return trip. SIN/SZX return trip S$330+. Downside is the late arrival and departure timings.
