I just came back from BKK and my Q is I took a taxi from Central Plaza (near Seacon Square) to Sukhumvit and my girl ask me to pay the driver 2K baht instead of the metered 200+ baht. Any reasons? So far my girl has always asked me to pay the actual amount + some tips except for this particular trip.

And to bro's going to BKK to change baht. When I was there, the xchange rate that I saw (mostly banks and the big xchange shops) is about 1SGD to 22.60BHT.
