Ah well put! I have also been w/ singers or KTV (doesn't matter) when I see them go through long list of SMS from customers, sometimes even when we are in hotel together. While it can be off-putting, it's actually ok for me because it forces me to have the right perspective, not to trick myself into thinking I am the special one. Besides, if not for these others, I'd likely have to pay more, so I want them to have a thriving business.
Though for you, sounds like you did have something more special, getting fed breakfast at home like that! Glad you had that experience you can always treasure, even if it is diluted (esp for my relationships) by the commercial nature of it all
