Like what FL Lover said, most of the viet girls will invite you to look for them in HCMC or their hometown.. But your case more susceptible to being a carrot because during this festive season, they will need more money to buy things (showing off mayb)..
I got one experience to relate.. just broke up with my ex in singapore, felt the need for a holiday.. so went over HCMC (my virgin trip).. as I was alone and it was a last min thing, I had no friends or knew anyone from the forum.. So I contacted a viet girl who was working in Singapore at that time and looked for her.. For the next 5 days, she was like super glue.. glued to me where ever I go.. I even had to resort to the 'quarrel' method to sneak out for a hairwash session.. after that trip, the next time round when she came to Singapore, she treated me like her bf.. from my limited tieng viet, she has concluded that I am the one for her just because I went to HCMC to find her
The good things from tat trip were she didnt spend alot of money during the time with me and I got a tour guide.. needless to say, I missed out on a lot of other fun things
