Yes, there r many rich n powerful men in PRC, but the overwhelming majority of them will only marry gers w/ uni education n of certain social-economic status. It's a Chinese tradition called 门当户对cos 男女双方的社会地位和经济情况相当,结亲才适合. 
These very successful men will never, ever marry those PRC MMs who come to S'pore to work as FLs/WLs or at KTVs/HFJs no matter how beautiful n talented. Exception may be made for a handful of gers who become national celebrities such as famous singers/models or actresses. Furturmore, most of these men only want uni students/graduates as mistresses or 二奶. 
Therefore, most of the PRC MMs we meet here in SGP can only hope to marry boys of similar (read low) social class n education background back home. However, in SGP, they hv a good chance to marry up.
