Hmmm....another hotel bite the dust.
Now is Hotel Pelangi. Ironically it also belong to the same management of Padimas.
Bros who used to cheong during Phuakang days i.e. during 90s and early 2xxx would know Hotel Pelangi was a hot favourites among regular cheongsters...especially among Sillyporeansl. So hot we have to book advance especially for weekends. CNY had to book at least 3-4wks in advance. I was a regular tere.My favourite luv nest then. Hotel was carpeted (I luv most), Bfast buffet concept. Room charges were not expensive. Pretty small cosy decent hotel..just 5mins walk fm Jetty. Driver (Zul) was my runner.....would tell me which gals fm which joint is "angpai". But as days gone by with recent economic crunch, Pelangi hotel oso facing dwindling room occupants, bfast no more buffet but ala carte with only entitlement to a plate of mee or nasi goreng or bread. Power failure several times in a day/nite. At times got to wait almost 15mins for the power to resume. Bedsheets, pillow, semua balang balang wear and tear. Oh ya. Anyone whos a regular wld surely know the security guard too. A man who fear no one. Not even the thugs, gangsters. Hes known to have berisi..certain power..
Now @ total Hotels/Wismas in operations are 42 at TBK. After the closure of Hotel Mirama, Hotel Mitra Pesona...and now Hotel Pelangi, wonder which is next.....
