I knew that too, bro. It has been mentioned several times in this thread about their culture.
That's why I'm slowly 'brain-washing' my gf that we need to be prudent in our spending esp when she can't work during the early stages after marriage and we have to remit $ back home.
Nevertheless, I'm prepared to expect the 'unexpected'.
