And the customs officer don't know you can withdraw 10,000 peso a day from atm machines and also can keep 'us$' or 's$' and change once you are in country.
Surprisingly, during my travels by NAIA - 1,2 or 3, I never was asked about the money I was bringing in - even though I fill in as 'no' to the amount exceeding 10,000 peso.
Anyway, i prefer to forefeit the service charge levied at atm, and withdraw money at atm, as most of the money changers have 'vultures' watching the money changer, and God Forbid if you need to change more money than an average guys monthly income (say -above 10,000 peso

Anyway, you can change S$ as easy as you can, so on an average, paying most bill by card, and changing 100$ or 200$ at a time seems good enough - atleast for my spending ..
