that indeed was in the talks between MM lee n Pak Harto back in the late 80's..lease batam for 99years and build a under-sea tunnel like the one between france & britain...too bad..a cocky minister for labour;the young Lee messed things up...if not for our PM lee..we could be roaming the streets of nagoya in our very own wheels..or maybe a mrt station named 'habour bay'
