Overall impression is that AC is fairly safe as long as you hang out in the tourist area and doesn't venture to out skirts of the city! AC has many beggars and vendors that harass the tourists but just tell them no and walk away! You'll see lots of Filipino men loitering the streets but in my opinion they're not dangerous!
