There are alot of possibilities on what can be done or what cannot be done ....

I can't really give u advice on that .... But I can give u examples for you to gaugue whether it's true or not ...

1. In HCMC a Unit (A Room + A Toilet) 5 mins away from airport and it's also like a walk-up apartment - To rent cost about SGD $250 - $300 with electicity .....

Like a wife's neighbour , she mortgaged her land to bank to loan $$$ to her. Once u repaid, you can do it again to loan $$$.

So I guessed the case u mentioned, the owner should be able to do that, but then if he is unable to settle the loaned $$$, subsequently you will have problem no matter what type of agreement you may have with the owner.
