This is a good point actually. For newbies thinking the thai regulars know it all and all the advantage, its because they've been scammed or at least close to it.

I myself have been conned by Patong upstairs bar , taken to temple/shopping by tuk tuks , girls running away earlier than expected etc etc

And I've seen the jet ski scam , fights , guns ........

And those who envy those who always are in thailand , it taken a long time for them to work up that level.

So next time you want to comment on how lucky people are to be in thailand , remember there's no free lunches in this world
