I did make some check up last year.
This is the answer I got.(not from custom)
There is 2 way to get into HK/Macau
1) by Passport with Visa
2) 港澳通行证 with pass
Both can get u into HK/Macau.
How it works.
Normally Passport work this way. Need to get a agent to apply Visa to Malaysia or Thailand or indo(this 3 is the eariest to get according to them)
Once got get in/out of HK/Macau 2 times inside a time frame of around 3 months( roughly. I not very sure)
The other will be 港澳通行证. Need to get a group tour visa thing. But damn stupid. 1 ppl also can call group. with 港澳通行证 n pass, can cross over. Can only use once per trip.
Passport n 港澳通行证 have to apply back in hometown. how fast depend on place liao.. not sure..
The Visa n pass thing have to get agent to apply or make at custom. Visa will need more time to get.
that's all I know.. but how true i also dun know. will verilfly when i there.
