Today, many of the smaller and downmarket places can no longer recruit the cute young thiings. Either they get exported to other countries, or they are earning easy money in the many expensive G Clubs or Asian-patronized GoGos and oily massage places etc.
Better communications and overseas opportunities plus education and the rush of foreign "tourists" has robbed the soapys of the best choice of girls overall.
Sadly the rooms in Nataree are indeed shabby....suffered the fate commercialism in large doses.

Fair comment on advent of more "globalised" economy. Though I can't vouch for quality then and now.
