Is the joiner fee that some hotels collect to pay off the cops if they come a knocking? If the cops do barge into your love making how are they to prove that the girl is my girlfriend (real or imagined)? That means the authorities assume all girls with a foreigner in Thailand is a prostitute? Which by the way is illegal in Thailand.
